Wooden plaques are available on which requests and wishes are to be written. Objects are also offered for sale. These are believed to insure safety, protection, and provide for a host of other needs. Some sincerely believe that if the proper procedures are followed, the chances for the results hoped for are good. Others just think it can't hurt to try.
