Dear
Prayer Partners,
We will
be grateful for your prayers for:
1.
Thanking our Lord for the church's first "Club Biblique",
for congregation members stepping up to play key roles, and for the result of
parents interest in our church.
2.
Thanking him also for intern Karen Kegel's work with us, and for her
relation-building ability with her host family, Club Biblique kids and everyone
she met.
3.
Please continue praying for the people in the Thursday evening Bible
Study who are not yet saved.
4.
Please pray for several members of our church who are attending meetings
in July on sharing the Gospel with family, friends and co-workers.
5.
Please pray for our contacts with our friends during the time remaining
in the summer.
Explanations:
1.
One of the chief goals of the Club Biblique was to move to a summer
program which engaged more of the congregation. Two women from our church
were the key teachers of the lessons. Two of our church teenagers, along with a
third teen from another church, were leaders of the games, sports and helped
out with the lesson activity times, as well as animated the sketches.
These people from the congregation give us great hope for the Club next
year, with an even greater congregation role.
Another
key goal was to develop contacts with parents for growth of the church.
One mother of young twins is more interested in our church now, and
another family is open to further contacts from our church. All of the
parents were very positive about the Club, and stayed after the last session
for conversation with the staff.
And
finally, we have the children, who know much more about the Bible than before.
Some remarkable little minds at work. Please pray that they would
draw closer to the Lord.
2.
Our intern, Karen Kegel, worked with our adult English classes, spent
time with our university group, and learned about Louis XIV's campaign to
exterminate Protestants in France. She helped organize Club Biblique, led
the teens during Club Biblique, and worked through an unplanned change of host
families when her first host was inundated with unexpected relatives.
Through it all, she developed great relationships - everyone wanted to
see her more.
5.
Summers are the best time to catch up with many friends because people
are less busy. Many people are also more relaxed and open as well.
So this is a key time for us to catch up with friends. please pray
for our many friends - only a few know Jesus as their lord and Saviour.
