New name, same vision, mission, and ministry

Dear Friends,
Today is a big day for World Harvest Mission. You may have already
received an email about the news from our office, but we wanted to
communicate to you directly that as of today, World Harvest Mission has
changed its name to Serge. This is the culmination of a year-long
process and there are numerous reasons for the change. A number of
Christian organizations have been going through name changes over the
past few years. One example is Campus Crusade for Christ International
changing its name to Cru. As the world becomes less friendly to Bible
believing evangelicals, many countries have closed their doors to
Christian workers. The words, "World Harvest Mission" has closed some
doors and created barriers for our people as well, along with causing
some misunderstandings regarding what we do (no, we are not an
agricultural organizations!) Our mission believes that this new name and
rebranding will help us open more doors to reach new places with the
good news of Jesus Christ. Why the name,"Serge"? Here are a few links
that explain the meaning of the name and the mission's reason for
