Greetings to
all--
Let me get
straight to the points:
Please thank
God with us for 2 couples who visited tonight. I've commented in the past
that I'm amazed that people brave our less than savory building and less than
savory people to worship with us. Tonight was no different. These
couples are drawn to the idea of a church that is missional and incarnational
in this setting. They got a first hand view as our old neighbor Alan was
with us in animatedly drunken splendor. May God work in and through
churchfreo as we seek to model ministry along the lines of
"A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he
will not snuff out."
Please pray
for churchfreo in these next few months as we focus on equipping its saints,
building its momentum and and underscoring its identities with the view of
leaving Australia late this year for our Home Mission Assignment.
Please pray
for Pastor Robbie. He has borne the brunt of Dan's anger during this
relapse. He is very, very discouraged. His home has been damaged
and his family relationships are affected as his son's wedding was interrupted.
My heart goes out to him.
Please keep
praying for Jimmie Lynn's recovery. It's coming but it's coming slow.
Jim is the most frustrated with the process. May she experience
some significant progress soon.
Thanks for
caring and thanks praying for us,
Chuck
