Hey folks--
Autumn
has finally arrived with cool temperatures and rain. The streeties are
all "rugged up". (bundled up) With the early darkness now the place
clears out pretty quickly after the gathering. We had a good-sized
group that stuck around until we were finished with clean up and packing
up. Folks are really appreciative of a hot meal on a cold night and
they told us "thank you" many times over.
Please
pray for Mark, a first-timer who has just been released from a drug
rehabilitation center. He says he came to faith about a year ago after
he "..."found a Bible somewhere". I'm praying for him to be "strong in
the power of His might".
Please pray for
Shane. He's an aboriginal man who has been with us for a few weeks now.
He's obviously gone through some things in his life but he's also
walked through them with Jesus. Thank God with me that he is with us,
that we can minister well to him, that he can also "be strong" and that
he can be a witness to the other aborignals that are often among us.
Please
pray for J and H who were married on Friday. Their marriage has the
immediate challenges of reconciling their families and their churches.
I'm praying for them to have a marriage that shows what Christ and the
church as it should be and that people will be drawn to God because of
what they see in them. I'm praying for God's Holy Spirit to move in and
through them as agents of unity in this messy church business.
Thanks y'all!
In Jesus' name,
Chuck & Jimmie-Lynn
