April 1, 2013 - Grace PCA - Russ & Cherrie

Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given to me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel. Ephesians 6:19

Greetings, April 2013
“Reflections”
Have you heard people say, “What’s so golden about the golden years?” Of course, from the believer’s perspective, we are not growing older; we’re just getting closer to home. Indeed the things of earth grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace each year as we celebrate our birthdays. The race we run is certainly not for the swift but for those who persevere and keep their eyes fixed on the finish line. So; we keep putting one foot in front of the other in order to finish well, in spite of the circumstances. Every one of you, over the past 27 years, have sacrificed financially and prayed often for us. Thanks for running alongside, and yes, at times you even carried us when our burdens grew too heavy. Some of those burdens have been health, coming home from South America, prison changes, deaths of family and friends, just to name of few.  Many saints are going through severe afflictions and trials of life; many have moved home and found complete healing and restoration. I guess we can say that that is the ultimate success to have finished well the race that was set before them. We praise our Lord and soon coming King for your kindness, generosity and prayers.

May we all echo Rev 21:20, “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.”
We remain in His hands,
Russ and Cherrie
