He is risen! Hallelujah! Praise God with us for His victory over sin and death!
Praise God and thank Him for the folks He brought into the gathering tonight. 88 people heard the gospel and witnessed, if not participated in, the remembrance of the Lord’s Supper. We are humbled and challenged by the opportunity to minister to those God brings in the door. I ask again like I've asked before: “What have you been praying?”!!! We were full to overflowing tonight!
Praise God and thank Him for T, who has asked for churchfreo to help him get off the streets. Ask God with us for Him to continue to provide for this type of ministry it obviously pleases Him for us to undertake in His name. T appears to be a genuine believer and was in tears saying “thank you” for the opportunity to have a fresh start in our community.
Praise and thank God with us for S who is committed to making a go of living off the street and is literally a new man since he has left the streets for the, I’m sorry to say, “flophouse” he is currently calling home. He is now paying his own way to stay there after churchfreo gave him 2 weeks of “haven” there.
Praise and thank God with us for the blessing to be faced with the need to change things around because of growth. It’s not growth in the way many of you might assess it but for us, the necessity to figure a way to seat more people in the building and what it takes to minister to them in a way that fits their culture and worldview is quite challenging. We desperately need your prayers for our wisdom and guidance by the Holy Spirit to move forward faithfully into what God is calling us and in the way He would have us to go.
Praise God and thank Him for the faithfulness of our little body of believers that gathers as churchfreo. Start with my wife. She so selflessly serves, despite pain, in a way that truly humbles me. All of churchfreo is being stretched and challenged, and by God’s grace, are remarkable in their love, grace and mercy shown to folks who are far from God, or just plain hard to love.
Finally, praise God and thank Him for you, all of you who pray, give, encourage and love our family and those to whom we minister. As I always say:”Where would we be without you?”
In the name of Jesus, crucified, buried, risen and coming again!
